Gear Cutting

At the Hand Screw Machine Company, our gear cutting department includes 5 Barber Colman 6-10 Hobbers, 2 Barber Colman 6-10 Multi-cycle Hobbers , 2 Barber Colman Hob Sharpeners (No.3), 1 Barber Colman 16-36 Hobber, 1 Barber Colman 16-16 Multi-cycle Hobber, 2 Fellows 645A3 Shapers, and 1 Fellows 7125. We also have a complete set of gear shaping tools.

Our range and quantity of high-quality equipment means that we can put more machines on one job, leading to faster turnaround times for our customers. Our equipment allows us to cut spur gears up to 18 inches in diameter and 3 inches face width. Several small hobbing machines are available to cut smaller gears. Long splined shafts with a spline length of up to 36 in. can also be cut.
